Big weekend ahead – Friday 28 and Saturday 29 August 2026
Friday 28 and Saturday 29 August will see a number of events take place across the various venues at Sydney Olympic Park.Both days will see the TCS Sydney Marathon Running Show at the Showground, along with Alex Warren at Afterpay Arena, and Deaf Festival Sydney 2026 returning to Cathy Freeman Park on Saturday 29 August.
The community is encouraged to allow extra travel time around the precinct, and visitors are advised to pre-book parking and plan ahead.
Buses replace trains – Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August

- Armory Wharf Pontoon Maintenance
Transport for NSW have closed Newington Armory Wharf pontoon for maintenance works until further notice to ensure the safety of waterway users. For more information visit the Transport for NSW website.
